Terms of use
Last updated: 15 October 2026TEMPLATE. Fill in every [bracket] and have a lawyer review it before you publish. It is a starting point, not legal advice.
1. Who we are and who can use Yalla
Yalla is run by [YOUR NAME OR ORGANISATION], Morocco. You must be 16 or older. Accounts are for one person (students) or one club (club accounts). Keep your login private.
2. Being a good member
You agree to follow the community guidelines in the app. In short: be kind, respect privacy, keep it safe, no spam or fake accounts, nothing sexual or violent, and nothing illegal. Do not share another person's location, photos, messages or details without their permission. Clubs may only post events they are really organising.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (photos, messages, events, club pages). You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you chose to share it with, so the app can work. You promise you have the right to post it.
4. Moderation
People can report content and accounts and can block others. We review reports and may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these terms or put people at risk. We try to act quickly, but we cannot promise to see everything.
5. Meeting people: stay safe
Yalla helps people meet. We do not check who people are or what they do offline. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety. Never share your live location with people you do not trust.
6. Clubs
Club accounts are marked "pending verification" until we approve them. Club heads are responsible for what the club posts and for the people they accept into its community. A club may be removed if it misleads people.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Some copies may remain in backups for a short time, as described in the privacy policy.
8. The service
Yalla is provided "as is". We may change it, pause it or stop it. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what members say or do, for meetings arranged through the app, or for losses caused by using or being unable to use Yalla. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited. [LAWYER: adjust for your country.]
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco.
